How to Donate Goods

We have shops throughout Merseyside and Cheshire. To find your local branch click here

Partnerships

We have excellent partnerships with other retail companies, such as QVC and the Arcadia Group who through their wonderful donations help us to continue to raise funds.

QVC pay the Foundation a visit!

Representatives from QVC shopping channel were invited to the Foundation in early January as a “thank you “for the wonderful support they have given to us over the past 3 years.

James Byrne, Senior Team Leader for the Liquidation Department and Mark Lucas, Liquidation Team Leader were given a tour of our lab facilities to give them an insight into the work that they help fund by arranging to donate goods to the foundations 8 shops. Through the generosity of QVC and their suppliers the foundation shops have raised a magnificent £100,000 over the past 3 years.

Head of Retail Pat Tisdale says, “When QVC came on board donating to our retail outlets it was a huge benefit to our sales. The variation and quality of goods received so far has been of the highest quality thus enabling our retail outlets to get the best possible prices, for which we are very grateful.

Clear out for lung cancer

March saw the launch of our clear out for lung cancer campaign. This is to make it easy for staff to donate through their place of work:

"Clear out for Lung cancer poster"
"Ask for Help Letter"

Goods We Require

We are always in need of good quality ladies and men’s clothing as well as shoes, bags, belts, jewellery and paper back books in good condition. Household items such as glass, china, bric-a-brac are in great demand in our outlets also and we would be happy to take these off your hands. Unwanted new gift items, such as toiletries, perfumes, socks and slippers are greatly appreciated.

Household Collections

We can offer a selection of household collections via our van operation. Our driver posts and collects charity sacks to local housing. We can also accommodate a “one off” house clearance service – contact your nearest shop and they will be happy to arrange a pick up.

Offices and Schools

To make it easier for you to donate through your workplace we can arrange to have charity sacks delivered to your place of work for you to take home and fill – then just bring them back to your workplace and we will make arrangements to pick them up. Alternatively we can supply you with a donated stock/recycling box that can be placed in your premises as a permanent and on going collection point – just pop that odd pair of unwanted shoes/dress or handbag in on your way to your desk – one or two items per person soon fills the box and is an easier way to help us if you don’t have the time to fill a bag. Can I Help?

We are always on the look out for volunteers and April is our recruitment drive for those willing to help. We urgently need volunteers who can commit from 2 to 4 hours per week or month to help run our retail outlets. Our shop teams are made up of people from all backgrounds and from 16 to 75 years of age. The volunteer role is of great importance to the work we do and we offer a wide variety of jobs to make life interesting for the willing volunteer. Some of the vacancies we have for volunteers are: retail shop floor assistants, stock sorting and processing, valuation of antiques and collectables and the sorting and pricing of books, we are also requiring a volunteer driver/collector. Saturdays are sometimes difficult to staff in our shops and if you feel you can offer your services at least one Saturday in four that would be great. Contact your nearest shop if you are interested in helping.

The SOS (Staff our Shop) application form is available at your local shop.
