Parliamentary Friends event

The Foundation launched its Parliamentary Friends of The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation in the historic surroundings of the House of Lords Terrace on Tuesday 15th November.

The occasion was attended by parliamentarians from both Houses, as well as patrons, trustees, and senior staff from the Foundation.

Lord Faulkner of Worcester, a trustee of the Foundation kindly hosted the evening. The audience learnt from Prof Ray Donnelly, the Founder and President, about the significant achievements made by the Foundation over the past 15 years, including its developing work with children and young people, some of its aspirations for the future, and the progress it is making in its vision to defeat lung cancer.

Two Patrons spoke with great passion about why they support the Foundation. Robert Powell, the actor, who has been with the Foundation for many years, and the newest Patron, Lord Falconer of Thoroton, the Lord Chancellor. Lord Falconer encouraged everyone to support the Foundation in its campaign aims, and to assist in securing funding for its crucial research.

The Foundation thanked
Amgen Limited, the leading biotechnology company, for their sponsorship.
