Meet The Team

Laura IrvingLaura Irving | Director of Fundraising
My role is to lead the fundraising team so that our charity can continue to invest in lung cancer research and provide help and support to those affected by the disease. It is a great privilege for me to work here and I feel hugely proud of the dedication and enthusiasm of our team. We want to ensure that you feel supported and enjoy fundraising for us, whether that is as an individual, through your place of work, remembering a loved one or taking part in our varied and exciting events programme.
Janine DrewJanine Drew | Donor Development Manager
I have had numerous roles within the fundraising team since I joined the charity in 2001. My current role involves developing our donors and supporting those who wish to make significant gifts to the charity. I also work in the area of legacy fundraising, telling people about the importance of leaving gifts in Wills. Set aside all that 'serious' business, I'm usually one of the first to volunteer for a bag pack, a bucket collection or an opportunity to grab a curly blue wig and cheer on our Roy's Runners!
Liz LeggeLiz Legge | Corporate Fundraising Manager
I've worked here since 1997 in various roles and am now the Corporate Fundraiser. My role can vary from writing proposals for corporate support, to standing on the street in the pouring rain dressed as Miss Piggy giving clues for a company treasure hunt - great fun!

Sarah RobertsSarah Roberts | Community Fundraiser
My role is to support the fundraising team with their projects when they need me; it's a great way to get involved with all areas of fundraising and a fantastic chance to meet all of our amazing supporters. I also have a big role in recruiting volunteers and making sure that we give them the most out of their volunteering experience. To find out more about my role in general, click here to read the monthly blog I write about all my experiences with the charity.
Hayley WeaverHayley Weaver | Running Events Fundraiser
As the Running Events Fundraiser, I look after our Roy's Runners who take part in all sorts of races, from fun runs to marathons and everything in between. I give our runners the help and advice they need regardless of ability or fitness, to help them enjoy their experience and raise lots of money for the charity at the same time.
Dan HallidayDan Halliday | Mass Participation Events Fundraiser
My job here at the charity is to organise the mass participation events, which basically have lots of people taking part. We have a few large annual events which have now grown to become well established, like our ladies only night walks. Not only are the walks a great way to raise awareness and funds for the charity, but they are also great fun. We have lots of new exciting ideas planned for next year, so keep a look out for brand new big events coming soon!
Becs BrockenBecs Brocken | Challenge & Overseas Events Fundraiser
It's my job to find new challenges and help supporters have a once in a lifetime experience, whilst raising thousands of pounds for charity. The challenges include climbing mountains, cycling across countries, rafting down rivers, sliding down waterfalls and jumping out of planes!
Cath SteeleCath Steele | Database Officer
I've been with the charity since early 1996 and have worked in many areas of fundraising including payroll giving, corporate and community fundraising and trusts. My main role at the moment is to database support to the fundraising team, which I really love as I get to know about every aspect of our work.

Debbie BarlowDebbie Barlow | Trust Fundraiser
My role as the Trusts Fundraiser is to generate support from Charitable Trusts and Foundations. This involves lots of research and writing a great quantity of proposals. I can always be found in the quiet corner of the office buried under a mound of books, although my fellow fundraisers are always happy to rescue me to help shake the occasional bucket or two.
Jenny RobertsJenny Roberts | Events Fundraising Manager
I am the Events Fundraising Manager and I joined the charity in January 2012. I am lucky enough to have the responsiblity of organising exciting and varied events - from sports dinners and golf days to awards evenings and Disney spectaculars! Organising the events is great fun and it's really rewarding to know that every penny we raise can make a difference to peoples lives.

Alan FrenchAlan French | Individual Giving Fundraiser
I started working with the charity in June 2012. One of the most important parts of my job is to keep in touch with our donors who have sadly lost loved ones to lung cancer and help them to keep their memories alive by supporting our charity. I also help ensure that our donors are kept up to date with our work and ways of getting involved.

Jacqui Hoard | Legacy Manager Jacqui Hoard
Hello, I've worked for the charity since 1998 - that's longer than I've worked with any other organisation. I'm now semi retired and work 2 days each week. I have worked in a number of areas, but since 2005, it's all been about gifts in Wills. Making sure the charity receives what it is entitled to when people leave something to the charity. The amazing thing is that so many people leave a gift in their Will and the charity has no record of a gift in their lifetime. People's generosity never ceases to amaze and delight me - when we receive a gift, I ring a loud bell so the whole office can share the joy of knowing that we can spend more on research and support.
