Lloydspharmacy works with Foundation

The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is delighted to announce a new partnership with Lloydspharmacy, which will help smokers up and down the country, kick the habit and help raise £50,000 for the charity.

In light of the smoking ban which comes into effect on 1st July, Lloydspharmacy is rolling out a national quit smoking support service for anyone who wants to quit smoking or cut down. For every person who pledges to quit, Lloydspharmacy will donate £1 to the Foundation, up to a maximum of £50,000.

Lloydspharmacy is a community based pharmacy with 1,605 outlets nationwide and most have a private consultation room where you can speak to the pharmacist about nicotine replacement therapies. Research has shown that you could be four times more likely to quit with the right support.

These new services have been promoted with a television advert and by taking a 20 foot long promotional cigarette on a UK tour.
