If you are a girl or a boy that cares about what you or others think of your self image, don't smoke! Smoking causes teeth to stain yellow and you get wrinkles when you are younger. It also causes your fingers to stain yellow.
Smoking is a hard habit to break, once you start you get addicted. you become depressed and lazy for most of your life. You don't work as hard in school, and also you cant enjoy the things most people enjoy as a kid.
If you or someone you know smokes, help them to stop. Tell them how much you care about them, and remind them constantly how dangerous it is to smoke. Keep telling them these sort of things and you might change their mind.
Also, if someone is smoking around you, inform them that second-hand smoke is as bad as handing that person a cigarette. so watch your back!
If you ever think about picking up the habit, remember, smoking is horrible. More preventable illnesses are caused by tobacco smoking than by anything else.

I have friends that smoke. I've told them they should try to quit, but I don't know if they will or not. They're only 12, and I know it's hard to quit. I think the best way to deal with smoking is to NEVER START!!!!!!! It's harmful to you and to others. One of my friend's parents smoke, and she has many health problems because of it. Another one of my friends is having problems with asthma because her dad smokes, and he won't quit, or even try to. Smoking is a problem, so don't do it.

I really think that if you want to be cool... smoking is not the way to go. Can't you see that already! People must take D.A.R.E. for no reason. The cool people are the people who are really good friends to you. This website gives the idea that all the things that will happen to you normally turn out to be okay until it will lead to the worst of all, death! Even though you sometimes don't die... pictures can give you bad thoughts. Really bad! I have some pictures of effects.
