The Gerard McCrory Tribute Fund

My husband Gerard died from small cell lung cancer on July 10th 2006. He was the love of my life and my soulmate.

Our little boy Matthew had just turned 3yrs when his daddy died. Gerard adored Matthew and took him everywhere.

When Matthew was born we became the happiest little family in the world. Gerard and I worked together also and we did not go out much as we were happiest at home just the three of us.

Gerard was diagnoised on June 15th and died 4 weeks later. I was totally devastated. My life now is to bring our son Matthew up and see him settled.

I know in my heart that Gerard and I will be together again. I await that day.

Goodnight Gerard xoxo

Gerard, this my love is from Dave and I to a wonderful husband and daddy that should have been able to see his little boy grow up and never have been taken away.  It is too late for you and Dave but, hopefully, working together we can save our children. God Bless.

To my uncle Gerard and dearest brother-in-law. It's a year now since your passing and we all miss you still very much. So many of your charactistics are in your son Matthew and I find myself smiling at these.  The way he looks sometimes, his love of music and his wee sayings. Ellie and Katie still talk about getting real coke cola and how you took them to the shops for sweets. Katie says she knows your in Heaven because she saw your shinning lights when she listened to "Postcards from Heaven". You must be very proud of Yvonne and all her bravery through the pain. Always putting on a brave face. She really is amazing.  Sleep tight Gerard until we meet again. Elaine and Mark xo

My darling Gerard, Christmas has just passed and there were times when I needed to be on my own as the pain of not having you here was too much. Matthew enjoyed all his presents that Santa left for him but on Christmas morning he whispered to me that he wished his ‘ daddy was here’ we will never forget you darling not for a single second. You will always be our shining star and we will love and miss you until we are together again. Good night sweetheart and Merry Christmas. Love you from Yvonne and Matthew xoxoxoxo PS On Christmas Day Matthew and me went to visit you and left you a little Baileys. Hope you enjoyed it. Xoxo

In loving memory of my uncle Gerard. You have left behind great memories of all who knew and loved you. Your passing came too soon and that was the biggest heartache for all your loved ones. We prayed hard that you wouldn’t have to leave us but God wanted you home, where you were free from all your pain and suffering. You were undoubtedly one of life’s true gentlemen. Forever in our thoughts and prayers. Sadly missed by your niece, Edel.
