This tribute fund has been set up in remembrance of Patricia Julia Prendergast. Pat had just turned 63 when she passed away on August 20th 2007, 21 months after diagnosis of this terrible disease. Sadly, like so many, diagnosis came as a total shock and too late to offer Mum much hope. However, she did remain hopeful, and courageous, throughout her illness - an inspiration to those around her.

Pat was the very heart of the family, so full of life and fun, so loving and kind. She was a wonderful wife, mum, nan, sister, auntie, and friend. We miss her everyday, but will keep her in our hearts forever.

We would like to remember her positively by growing this fund which will ultimately result in earlier detection, better access and funding of successful treatment of the disease. Pat was so kind and thoughtful, through this fund, she will continue to help others.
