My granddad sadly passed away peacefully and surrounded by his close family on the eve of 1 st February 2007, at the young age of 69. He was diagnosed of lung cancer only 7 months previous in the June of 2006.

After his diagnoses when he was told it was inoperable he joined a drug trail to try and help others in his situation.

Ken was a very special person to so many people: a dearly loved husband and father, a wonderful granddad, a caring brother and friend. His loving character and his sense of humour is deeply missed by us all and has left such a gap in many people’s lives.

I want this fund to help others fight such a terrible disease that claims so many lives each year and to keep my granddads memory alive.

I would also like to thank everyone who gave us all support through everything.
