Virtual runs, cycle rides & walks

If you have had a sporting fundraising event postponed due to the coronavirus, don’t let your training go to waste! If you are looking for ways to keep active during social distancing, you can take part in virtual runs, cycles and walks, whenever and wherever you would like to.

When my Easter walk was cancelled, I didn’t despair. I have a pair of legs; I can trek anywhere! I feel very passionate about promoting this amazing charity and the work you do so tirelessly. I feel so honoured to be a part of the Roy Castle family, fundraising has given me a passion and a purpose.

We need you now more than ever before, and virtual sporting events are an amazing way to keep up with your training and raise even more to support those people living with lung cancer.

Simply choose your event and your distance. If you are doing a virtual run, you can sign up to receive your virtual run welcome pack, including a complimentary 5K training plan (if this is your chosen distance), running buff, an invite to join our Strava running club, as well as an exclusive Roy Castle Easter Medal.

Staying safe

If you do want to do a virtual run, walk or cycle and raise money for us, please make sure you do so responsibly.

Take on your chosen challenge at a safe distance (minimum of 2 metres from anyone else), or ideally find a location where there is no one else around.

If you planned to run, walk or cycle with friends or family, why not do so at the same time but in different locations. You can then call, FaceTime or WhatsApp each other during your journey and see how everyone is getting on.
