Each year in November we hold Swim the Distance, a free to register fundraising challenge were participants choose a distance they must complete. For our 2019 challenge, we are thrilled to be partnered by leading swimwear fashion brand Maru.
After hearing about Swim the Distance, Maru wanted to find out more about the work Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation carries out to help people affected by lung cancer, as well as the challenge itself. Before long, the idea of a partnership developed.
The partnership between Maru and Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation not only means that each brand was exposed to new audiences, but also benefitted participants of the sponsored challenge. Every person who signed up for Swim the Distance receives a 15% discount code, with 20% of sales being generously donated to fund lung cancer research and support.
Maru also provided promotional support through their own social media channels and PR.
Event organiser Boobie Holding said, “We’ve been thrilled to have Maru join with us for Swim the Distance this year. Having the support of Maru means that we can turn what is already one of our biggest fundraising activity, into an even bigger event.
“With more sign-ups and increased fundraising we will be able to help even more people affected by lung cancer.
With still plenty time left before Swim the Distance starts, this year’s event is already campaign to date.
