Me and My Bear: A Secondhand Smoke Awareness Programme For Children

The Me and My Bear story project aims to increase awareness of the effects of secondhand smoke on children and what parents/carers can do to ensure their children are not exposed to its harmful effects.

The Me and My Bear book tells how a teddy bear and its young owner, Jenny, are affected by secondhand smoke.
Primary school teachers can apply for free books for their pupils by filling in the form at the bottom of this page.

There are also a number of free resources available to support the use of the book in the classroom, including a teachers’ resource pack, lesson plan, powerpoint presentation and children’s activity books. These resources are available as downloads on the left hand side of this page.
