25th Anniversary Appeal

We all have a reason to beat lung cancer. Whether you’ve been directly affected or know somebody that has, you will understand the devastating effects the illness can have on people and families.

Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation works hard to fund vital lung cancer research, and provide support to people living with lung cancer. We’ve made huge progress in the last 25 years but there is still a lot to do, and we can’t do it without you.

Please make a donation to mark our 25th anniversary appeal, and together we can beat lung cancer.

We also want to hear what your reason is to beat lung cancer. However the illness has touched you, share your story on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #MyReason and help us raise awareness of lung cancer.

Surviving and thriving

Diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2008, Eric Byrne feared the worst. But now, more than six years on, he is enjoying life more than ever.

“My diagnosis hit me like a thunderbolt” says Eric. “I called the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation helpline and the lady I spoke to was really helpful and went through the different types of support available.  As well as support from my lung cancer nurse I got to meet other patients and we shared experiences and supported each other along the way.”

We’re pleased to share with you that Eric has now been given the all clear from his consultant and continues to enjoy life to the full.

He received the support he needed during what was probably the worst time off his life, and this is thanks to people like you. Through your donations you’re helping thousands of people like Eric, when they need it most.

Please make a donation to help us continue our life-saving work and help more people like Eric.
