Fundraising For The Spring Trail
Every year over 1,000 people are diagnosed with lung cancer in Merseyside alone, with around 60% of them dying within a year. It is a disease which kills more women - more mums, nans, sisters and daughters - than breast and ovarian cancer combined, while 1 in every 13 men will be diagnosed in their lifetime.
Like most events, the entry fee for this event covers the cost associated with the safe running of the event. Therefore we are encouraging familes to fundraise and to get sponsored to help support all those affected by lung cancer. To help you along the way, we have launched an online interactive Spring Trail fundraising page, making it both fun and easy to raise even more money to help patients and their families.
There's a reward on offer too for all the little chicks who raise £50 or more. They'll receive the VIP treatment on the day and will be presented with a special certificate and tasty chocolatey treat courtesy of Sainsbury's as a reward for their efforts. By fundraising £50 or more, we can pay for support such as a day's training for a lung cancer nurse to be able to run one of our support groups. We have support groups in Aintree and Broadgreen hospital.
Your interactive Spring Trail fundraising page can also be shared with family and friends through social media, WhatsApp or by email, making it easier than ever for the grown-ups to help fundraise.
We will be sending you a fundraising pack through the post, however you can download a fundraising form here.
