Why did you decide to volunteer for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation?
I became aware of Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation at University as they had a stand at the University Fresher’s Fair. Having spoken to the staff I felt this was a charity which appealed to me and somewhere I could volunteer.

On a personal level my Grandad died of lung cancer and I felt this was a great opportunity to do something and help out.

How long have you volunteered for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation?
Started volunteering with Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation September 2014.

Describe what kinds of things you have done for the charity?
I have taken part in a number of Roy Castle events such as the Spooky Welly Walk and other events.  I have had a number of roles from manning a stand through to cheering at a number running events.

What is your favourite thing about being a volunteer?
I love being a volunteer with the Foundation. Sometimes life at University is a bit stressful and volunteering gives my week some structure. The staff also treat me really well and make me feel welcomed.
